Christopher Miller

 Visual Artist

Christopher Miller is of the Mohawk Nation and was born in Ottawa but spent most of his life in Southern Ontario. He developed his creative abilities as a small child. With the Guidance of his Mother, she encouraged his very active imagination. In time with many different ventures, he began to develop skills for perfecting his shading ability and attention to detail with great clarity. Miller’s Desires for Native Culture, Nature Scenes, Wild Life and Portraits are a focus of interest as a means for his medium.  Having vivid dexterity as can be seen in his work, it takes many hours of fine detail and shading to create these intricate drawings.

Rocky Burnham

 Carver, Leather Works

A self taught artist with over 20 years experience in antler carvings and 25 years working with hides, Rocky has gained much knowledge of his chosen art mediums. He is a Lower Cayuga from the Six Nations Reserve who moved to the Niagara Region early in his childhood. His dedication over the years to his traditional creations has proved to be well worth it and shows in the high quality of work he produces. Although he is not limited to these two mediums, he also creates Cayuga ceremonial pipes, many of which are in private collections across Canada. Currently residing in St. Catharines, Rocky continues to carve, work with hides, and further his talents in both these areas.
